5 Celebrities Putting Las Vegas Pot Parties On The Map
Tommy Chong
Known for being one of the original stoners of all time, in recent years, Tommy Chong has taken the legal cannabis industry by storm. Not only did he make appearances in Las Vegas to support Nevada’s 2016 legalization vote, he also chose to launch his line of premium cannabis products “Chong’s Choice” in Sin City.
“Well, it’s Vegas, come on, who doesn’t want to go to Vegas?” Chong said to the Denverite. “We’ve got a grow set-up there, Chong’s Choice is very established in Nevada.”
Snoop Dogg
The Godfather of Ganja Uncle Snoop is a Vegas regular. Dogg graced the grand opening of Jardin Cannabis Dispensary taking pics with fans. The Las Vegas-style affair was a welcome touch enjoyed by guests. “We wanted to build a premium dispensary with a beautiful staff,” said Jardin owner Adam Denmark Cohen, who moved to the valley two years ago to stake his claim in Nevada’s expanding cannabis industry.
Gerome Sapp
Former NFL player Gerome Sapp made the move from football to cannabis. The Harvard Business School grad is the CEO and founder of Dōs, a cannabis app aiming to be the self-described “Netflix for virtual experiences” when it comes to getting high. Sapp partnered with Noble Farms to promote their latest strain using 360 footage from the legendary Bellagio water show. The idea is to help customers understand the mood the stain they smoke will induce. Each video clip in the app describes what to expect before you hit play: “Uplifting and Cerebral perfectly describes this amazing water show. Our new Wifi OG creates a similar mood.”
Dizzy Wright
The rapper who put Vegas on the hip-hop map is a mega cannabis connoisseur. The Sin City native even has his own proprietary strain Dizzy OG.
Willie Nelson
Earlier this year, Willie Nelson fired up crowds in downtown Las Vegas. No doubt, that’s not the only thing he was smoking. Nelson is one of the most legendary stoners of all time, so we absolutely love that he decided to roll through Vegas to launch his line of cannabis products dubbed Willie Nelson’s Reserve. The four-hour red carpet event at Exile Boutique welcomed the 83-year-old with enthusiasm the Vegas Sun reported.
